Day 43

HOME SWEET HOME!!!

We woke up early in the morning to prepare our luggage and check that everything is packed and nothing is left behind. Went backstreet to have my last bowl"He Bao Tan Mian"in Wuhan:) Bid goodbye to those stalls that we most frequent. They all seem so sad to have us go back to our own country:( Afterwhich, we gave our caretaker things that can still be used but we can't bring back to Singapore; she was so happy:) Next, it's the final goodbye to our hostel room; ROOM 224!!!Quite sad to leave it as afterall we have been living there for the past 6 weeks. In my memories, it is a room with aircon, squat toilet bowl, hard beds and most importantly the laughter that i had wit my roomies:) Carried our luggages down is a chore. Board the bus and we head towards Wuhan Airport. Did a group check in and it was a headache. Many of our luggages were overweight. A total of 100 plus kg was exceeded and a total of 1700 fine was charged. Mr puah paid for us. I feel so bad towards him:( We should'nt have checked-in in a group, otherwise we would each have a luggage limit of 25 kg instead of 20kg:( Board the plane that is going towards guangzhou for a flight transfer there. It was even more hectic over there during the check in. We were almost late for the flight due to the delay the staffs there gave us. We were all running towards the boarding gate!!! The service at Guangzhou airport is really bad!! Nevertheless, we reach Changi Airport safely:) We were all excited to have returned back to our country:) We love SINGAPORE!!!

We have a rather hectic day running here and there with our baggages, checking in and out, thus not many photos were taken. Sorry.

In Wuhan Airport, checking in baggages

Steffi, monkey, me and saussy on the plane towards Changi Airport:)

Day 42

How did we spend our last day in Wuhan?:)

Day 42...Hmmm...how time flies...Today is our last day in Wuhan. We were actually told that we will be having a graduation ceremony this morning at 830am and formal wear is required. So we woke up early just to prepare ourselves for it. However, just like the previous time, the ceremony was canceled last minute, even the teachers were not inform. We were all dressed nicely and we had nowhere to go, so we took a small group photo together(not all wake up so early to prepare). Had nothing to do, we went to Macdonalds to have our breakfast and return back to the hostel to take a nap. At around 5pm, Yining, Clarissa and I took a public bus to Walmart to get some chewing gums and proceed down to Bu Xing Jie again to shop. This is the 4th time we are going to the same place to shop, and everytime we go there, we never fail to buy something:P So we spent our last day doing shopping again:)

ROOM 224.They have been my roomies for the past 42 days:) I want to thank them for bringing me so much laughter and care throughout my stay in Wuhan. We gossip, we talk, we eat together, we cook, we sleep, and we do almost everything under the roof :P i just want to say a BIG thank you to the both of u!!!

Julian, Chin Xiang and Teck Yi from ROOM 223. They have been our great neighbours for the past 42days:) Look at all our hair except for CHin Xiang's. They are all dyed and cut here:)

Karen's room, ROOM 222. Samantha and her have also been our great neighbours for the past 42days:) A big thank you too!!!

My BIG Breakfast:)

I am shocked to see this on my last day in Wuhan. I have been asking around and searching for the venue of this competition since my second week of stay here. But nobody, even Xiao Ling Lao Shi could not locate it. And finally, I saw this today at Xu Dong outside Walmart. Know what izzit? It's the Rock Climbing Competition that i have been talking about. I was so happy to see it but i was quite disappointed seeing how the competition was held. It's supposed to be a speed competition but...the wall is so short and the way they speed is like...shall not mention:)
I have seen better China climbers..

My dinner. Yummy Yummy!!! Herbs duck soup with rice and i ordered a special You Tiao wrapped with egg:)

Don't get the wrong idea! I took an individual photo with him cos he looks like my big brother a lot:)

A small group photo with the ECE guys. They are really very nice people to get along with:)

It's a small China lol:) i met her in the night market!! CLARINDA!!!

Day 41

Shopping Day

Today is a day just for shopping as we did not wan to waste our time staying in hostel. We would rather go out to experience different parts of Wuhan. As usual, the day before i slept at 5am and again woke up early to prepare to go out. A group of 6 of us hail a private bus to take us to Guang Bu Tun for shopping. We have never been to that place so today is solely for exploring Wuhan:) It was a rather long journey and when we reach there, it was raining. It has been raining for the past few days; floors are dirty and wet. Did our shopping for quite some time and we head to Bu Xing Jie again at around evening time. We wanted to go to the night market again, but it is drizzling and the floors are wet, many shops are not open:( Disappointed, we just went around shopping at random shops. Till about 10pm, we decided to head back to our hostel to pack our luggages as we only left 1 day here. That's about it for today. We are going to have our graduation ceremony tomorrow:)

p.s. I did my best to do everything i could but why can't they appreciate. You all are tired but what makes you think that i am not when i sleep much later than all of you, rushing all that i could just hoping that i won't need to ask all of you to gather when we are back in Singapore so that all of us can enjoy our last week of holidays. You all can complain, but who can i complain to?To cause all of you to be so tired, my apologies; I am sorry. I am exhausted. I give up. K.O. for WEILING

A Good Hair Day

I LOVE MY NEW HAIR COLOR AND NEW HAIRCUT:) Rushed through project again the day before till about 6am in the morning! Was woken up to go do treatment for my hair at 930am! barely 3 hours or sleep! Was like a dead walking zombie on my way there. The salon was already filled with people when we reach there at about 10am. Did my treatment and got psycho by the hairstylist to dye my hair, and so i listened to him. Allow him to help me choose my color and hairstyle cos i told him i shall trust him. The outcome was great and i am very very very satisfied:) A total of 9 of us went to have our hair done:)

Doing treatment for my hair:) Waiting for it to be washed off:)

Done everything and it's already 4pm, had not taken breakfast and lunch, so went backstreet to get some food, came back and took an hour nap. Got to leave for Li Xuan's house soon after. I am really exhausted! We took a private bus there and we realised she stays in a condominium-like apartment:) Went up and we are all shocked! It's beautiful! Her parents, uncle and her are really very welcoming and are really very nice to us:) Lots and lots of food prepared for us to try and eat. Gained 2 kg after dinner:p

Today is a very long and tiring day. The day before, we rush project till bout 4 plus 5am and we had to wake up at 11am to go meet a group of our EE friends to bring them out for shopping:) We brought them out to Han Zheng Jie and Bu Xing Jie night market. Though the entire trip was tiring, i didn't regret meeting them as i caught up a lot with my EE friend, Clarinda! Miss her so much ever since Camp Piak was over. I feel like a tour guide bringing them to all the places i shop before and to where cheap goods can be found:) It's definitely a fun and tiring day and i thank my other companions, Karen, Samantha, Clarissa and Yining.

Happy Hari Raya Puasa

After waking up at about 1pm, our group gather in my room to continue with our unfisnished case study and video making. Until about 6pm, we went out to the corridor to have our dinner. Today's dinner is on Fiza and Amirah as they wanted us to celebrate with them their last day of fasting:) They bought back lots of food including mee goreng, fried rice, satay and lots of other sides and snacks. All of us gathered at the corridor to have our warmth and sumptuos dinner. After which, Karen, Yining, Clarissa and I went out to Jian She 7th street to do some shopping to relieve our stress:) Bought quite a few things and cabbed back to the hostel. After bathing, there we go to again doing our projects and assignments. It's 3am now and many of us are still up:(
