Day 33

IS Presentation Day

This morning, we had our IS presentation. For my group, our topic is on The History of China. Summarizing a history of 5000 years is not an easy task; it is supposed to be a 10 minutes presentation hence we did not include everything and we apologize if we missed out or provide some information that was quite mixed up. After presentation, a few of us went to Walmart to buy some grocery for tomorrow's picnic at Botanic Gardens in East Lake:) Looking forward to it:) For dinner, Mr Puah treat all of us at the restaurant nearby our school as a way to celebrate all the September and October babies' birthday. Had a sumptuous dinner:) Yummy Yummy!

The weather is turning cold. The wind is freezing cold. The temperature here now range from 17 to 20 degree Celsius, expected to be lowered in the days to come.

We did our best in preparing the slides for our presentation and i believe all of us did our best!

Day 32

Last Day of IS

Today is our last lesson on IS and it's on the continuation of previous presentation slides, Doing Buisiness in China. After lesson, we were brief on tomorrow's presentation marking guidelines and proceed on with group phototaking with Xiao Ling Lao Shi as a remembrance. For lunch, we went for soup and rice again, and some of us went to the nearby shopping mall to get our formal wear. As usual, back to hostel to work on our assignments. Today Mr Puah cooked dinner for us again and he is treating us dinner to a restaurant tomorrow's night, as a form of celebration for all September and October babies:)

Day 31

"Jian She 7 Lu"

Today we have no lesson in the morning. I stayed in the hostel the whole day to rushed my Case Study 2 and IS presentation slides. Took a nap and skipped sports today, Yining, Clarissa and I took a cab down to Jian She 7 Lu. For your information, our school is located in Jian She 1 Lu, so the place that we are heading to is a few streets down. This is the time when we can practice independence, travelling to different places in a country that is not quite familiar to us. We had our dinner at a barbeque restaurant and proceed on to shopping at the night street, selling a wide range of goods ranging from clothes, watches, belts, and many many more. Afterwhich, we took a cab back to the hostel and HOME SWEET HOME safely:)

My favourite food here: Dou pi, with glutinous rice inside, mushrooms and pork:)

Barbequed Mushrooms!!! Yummy Yummy!!

Day 30

BPE Test 2

Today we had our IS lesson in the morning on How China do business. After which we had our BPE test 2 in the classroom. Because our module is non-examinable, we have 2 tests and 2 assignments to complete while the ECE people are having their common test tomorrow and exam when they go back to Ngee Ann. After the test, we went to have the soup and rice for lunch again. Then we went to the supermarket to get some snacks:) Returned back to the hostel to tidy up some loose ends for my part on the IS presentation and went for daily exercise. The wind was so strong today and we can't play badminton or table tennis at all:( Was so tired today that i only went to run 2 rounds around the track and came back hostel to do my sets. For dinner, i was too sick of backstreet food that i borrow a pot and an egg from Andy to cook maggie mee myself:) Yummy!

Mr Puah came to our room to tell us that the weather starting from today will turn cold as it's already the start of Autumn. Prepare thick jackets!!!

Day 29

A Normal Day

There is no lesson today so i slept my way through and woke up at only 12pm :) Went backstreet to get my brunch. But i got so sick of the food there so i had cup noodles for brunch. After my brunch, went studying for tomorrow's BPE test 2. The chapters were so dry that i fell asleep while studying despite me sleeping so much the day before: p Woke up and went to run. Today i managed to run 6 rounds around the tracks and played ball games with Karen, Yuting and the ECE guys. After which, i went back to my room to complete my 4 sets and went for dinner :) That's all for today, nothing much. This week's post will be rather dry as we are all rushing to complete our assignments back in hostel; will only go for shopping spree next week as there will be lots of sales coming up cos it’s CHINA NATIONAL DAY!!! It's so unfair that they have 7 days of public holidays because of that.

Day 27 and 28

Trip to Wudang Mountain

Over the weekends, we went up to Wudang. It was a 5hours trip up to the gate, which is the foot of the mountain. The scenery there was great and the experience i have there is awesome, something i never experience before. After buying the tickets, we sat a internal tour bus up to the mid of Wudang. From there, we start our trek of the day to visit different temples. The photos taken will express my feelings up there:) After which, we took the internal tour bus to somewhere even higher. The moment we reached, our vision is blurred by the fog, mist and clouds! It's damn cool and rather cold. When we breathe out, mist can be seen. This sort of view can only be seen during winter but we managed to experience it now:) The only bad part is that our tour guide did not inform us that it will be so cold and many of us did not bring a sweater up; we were so cold but we managed to endure it:) I love the feeling of being in the middle of the clouds!!! After this, we went downhill to have dinner and proceed to our hotels of the day. The arrangement of the hotel rooms is screwed up by the tour agency's tour guides. They seriously have no customers pirority in mind and no standard of service, especially the bus driver!!!Angry!!! Luckily the standards of the hotel is still not that bad:) A plus point for them.

The next day we had to wake up at 630am for breakfast and set off at 7. We were only a few minutes late and they scolded us:( Something heart aching happened:( The tour guide then told us that we must meet back at the bus which is at the foot of the mountain by 12pm. The entire group of 100 is split into 30:70, where 30 of us will be taking the cable car up and the other 70 will trek up. It was so cold so i decided to take the cable car up:) Before boarding the cable car, we must first take the internal tour bus up to the station which took 30 mins and when we reached the station, we must still queue for it and we queued for nearly 2hours! By the time we reach the place we are going to get to for the day, it was already 11. There, we must still wait for all to arrive, both the cable car people and the trekking people. From there with the huge crowd, we must still trek up a distance to reach the peak of the mountain. It was a total mess when we go back down. We had to queue for the limited number of internal tour buses to get us back to the foot of the mountain. And by the time we reach our own tour bus it was already 3 plus. The bus driver, thinking we don't know chinese, critisized us, Singaporeans. We were so pissed. It was the tour agency fault for not planning the whole trip well and he dont' even know the situation up there. Forget about those unhappiness, lets enjoy the photos taken for this trip.

I am at Tian Xia Ming Shan:)

WUDANG SHAN:)

This is the first place we visit on the first day.. It is somewhere in the mid of Wudang.

This is our final destination:)The peak of Wudang Mountain!!! It's called "Jin Ding"; Golden Peak. The roof of this building behind me is made up of GOLD!! It's a temple.

This is a lock that i bought and have my family name carved on it. The purpose of it is to lock it at somewhere around the Jin Ding so that your family, or the person specified will be blessed:)

This is to marked my submit to the peak:)

In the cable car cabin on our way down:)

I love the background:)

As memories:)

This is my last pic with "Hergrey" before helping her to bath and blowing her dry. She passed away on Wudang Mountain on 21st Sept and buried there. Rest In Peace, in memories of a cute little bunny.

Overall, i enjoyed the trip to Wudang mountain, not taking into considerations that the travel agency arrangements were unsatisfactory and the untolerable bus driver:)

*Why do they seems like they don't care when i miss them so much:( i miss my granny after what happened today that reminds me of her T_T

Day 26

We are free!!!!

From today onwards, we are free on our own:) WHY???Because Mr Puah finished teaching his syllabus for this module thus there will be no more lessons:) But there will still be IS lesson and we must still rush through all our assignments and projects given for both BPE and IS. So i woke up at 11am today and felt that my throat hurts:( But thank God i am fine now:) Had my Brunch and my group went to find Xiao Ling Lao Shi to ask some questions regarding our BPE Case study 2. After which, Clarissa and I went around the campus to take pictures of different parts of the school.

Then went supermarket with Yining, Clarissa and Amirah to buy some rations for tomorrow trip, and had dinner at the shop selling very nice soups that i had weeks before:) YUMMY YUMMY. And now i am back at hostel blogging:)

Over the weekends we will be going up to Wudang Shan so will not be in hostel to blog. Don't miss me...BYEEEEEE....
