Day 4

IS Lesson

Today we had our first IS class. The teacher uses English to conduct the lesson and communicate with us. From here, i can really sense all their sincerity in welcoming us to their school and also their country. They keep asking us for feedbacks and what we still lack of so that they can provide us the best in everything. THANK YOU WUST! Our teacher name is Xiao Ling. She introduces us to the culture, history, food and place of interest in Hubei, Wuhan. She was trying her best to help us understand though we were a bit rowdy sometimes. Sometimes i really admire the Chinese here. They really have to put in a lot of effort to learn a language that is so foreign to them and they can do it so well. They are really more hardworking than most of the students in Singapore. Even late in the night and it was their summer holidays, we can still see students studying in the library, without air-con.

Dinner

As it was raining really heavily, we had our dinner at a nearby restaurant. It was very crowded in the restaurant and we had to wait for a 13pax table. While waiting, we almost died. The restaurant is filled with cigarette smell. In Wuhan, they allow their guests to smoke in the restaurant on a different level but not enclose. It was really unbearable. We had a ten course dinner and their food was fantastic. We managed to order the right food though not understanding the menu well. When we ordered rice, it comes in a big bowl and we have to scoop ourselves. The ten course dinner only cost 300 plus RMB which is about 6 plus dollars each in Singapore. The dinner was really awesome today.

A sumptous dinner with duck, chicken, fish, mushroom, tofu and many more for just 300 plus RMB!!!
