Day 35

A Heart Felt Lesson Learnt

Today, a few of us wanted to go shopping at a wholesales center at Han Zheng Jie. We took a public bus down which we waited for very very long. When one bus finally comes, it is full and we can't bored. So when we decided to take a cab, another bus came, also very full but this time we managed to squeeze in and we are like a can of sardines inside. With this condition, we stil have to endure turns and jerks for 18 stops! Finally, we reach Han Zheng Jie. Went shopping but the clothings we saw are all winter wear because the weather here is really very cold now.Nevertheless i stil manage to buy myself a jeans and a jacket at really low price:) After that, we walk to bu xing jie to find the others which took us 1 hour or so. Bought lots of things on our way there too:) By the time we reach our destination, it's already 5.30pm and we were very very hungry as we skipped brunch and walk such long way. Had dinner and continue to shop:) We also manage to find the night market at bu xing jie to buy cheap goods. Bought lots of stuffs, but something bad happened:( I got pickpocketed at one stall. My purse got stolen and 400 RMB is gone:( I have no one to blame only myself i guess..too careless:( i miss u a lot a lot T_T

Waited for a cab and rushed back as it's getting late. Celebrated Adelene birthday at 12am sharp:) HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADELENE!!!

Day 34

Trip to East Lake

Today, we were brought to visit East Lake early in the morning. We have a new bus driver:) East Lake is very huge with lots of different places of interest located inside, but, today we will only be visiting 3 of the many tourist destinations. First destination of the day which we stay till about 11am is The Botanic Garden. It's my first time visiting a Botanical Garden, even back in Singapore i never visited it once before. It's is very beautiful there with so many different kinds of flowers, tress and plants there. It's good to immersed ourselves in the exotic world of nature to relieve our heavy workload stress at times and to spend some time with our friends and lecturers to know them better. Had lots of fun there and really enjoyed myself(refer to pictures for more details):)

Next we move on to the second destination of the day: Mo Shan. It is a mountain that is not very high up however, it is very long. There are a lot of conserved architectures of the Chu state there. We can also see a lot of art statues there. There is also the beautiful scenery of the East Lake for us to view:) Today's lunch is not provided by the tour agency so we have to prepared our own lunch. Me, Yining, Clarissa, Karen and Samantha prepared our lunch in advanced and decided to have a picnic by the lake. We have prepared ham, sausages, bread, snacks and drinks:) Thank you Yining for waking up as early as 6am to boil those ham and sausages:) After eating, a few of us play some simple games among ourselves and were really happy and all of us enjoyed ourselves, however, many were tired after that.

For the last destination, we went over to another part of East Lake. Only a handful of us went down the bus to visit the area as we were only given 1 hour at that place. We then decide to take a tram to move us around due to time constraint.

Let the photos to do the job:

Day 33

IS Presentation Day

This morning, we had our IS presentation. For my group, our topic is on The History of China. Summarizing a history of 5000 years is not an easy task; it is supposed to be a 10 minutes presentation hence we did not include everything and we apologize if we missed out or provide some information that was quite mixed up. After presentation, a few of us went to Walmart to buy some grocery for tomorrow's picnic at Botanic Gardens in East Lake:) Looking forward to it:) For dinner, Mr Puah treat all of us at the restaurant nearby our school as a way to celebrate all the September and October babies' birthday. Had a sumptuous dinner:) Yummy Yummy!

The weather is turning cold. The wind is freezing cold. The temperature here now range from 17 to 20 degree Celsius, expected to be lowered in the days to come.
