Departed from the school, we board a bus which took 4 hours to reach our destination. All our meals are provided and it gave us a new experience of having village food. There were more vegetables than meat, in addition those dishes all look "NEW" to us:) is it good or bad, it's up to your imagination lol.. Followed on was water rafting. For this activity, we had to buy a special kind of shoes which is known as "CAO XIE", straw sandles. After we put on our life jackets, there we go, 2 to a boat and we started our journey. For this activity, we were not allowed to bring our cams along, so there will be no photos, SORRY! The whole water rafting journey was about 2 hours, after that we were allowed to shower ourselves in the toilets provided. GUESS WHAT?? The toilets have no doors!! But with no choice, we had to bath, and WE WERE DAMN SHY!!! Overall, WATER RAFTIN IS SO SHIOK. However could have been better if it was natural and not man-made.
After which, we proceed on to visit the " MEI REN GU". It is a place with rapids and waterfalls, in conclusion a place with awesome sceneries. The photos shall explain more and better:) After this visit, we went to have our dinner and headed to our hotel rooms. The rooms are so awesome that we complain why aren't our hostels the same like these.
Our Hotel Entrance:)
Look at the BEDS! Compare with our hostel's MATRESS! lol.. The toilet is quite awesome too!
This is some cool shit that you will not be able to do in Singapore! FIREWORKS! The supermart in the hotel sell fireworks. It cost only 110RMB to set off a short display of fireworks. There are also other varieties of fireworks which cost even cheaper, 15 RMB. They were really awesome:)
A group photo after the firework displays:) CHEEZ!
Entrance of Mei Ren Gu.. The start of an exciting journey ahead:)
There are 2-ways of travelling..either by walking or by a manual bamboo boat. Look at the man with the stick. He is pushing the boat by walking to and fro. However, this costs 10RMB, so some of us decided to walk up.
Look at the colour of the water :0 pretty pretty
Mountains and water rapids.. PERFECT!!
WATERFALL! It's really cold and wet down there.. GROUP A YOU CAN DO IT!!!
TOTALLY AWESOME!! LOVE THE NATURE:)
I love the scenery:)
GROUP A REIGN THE MOUNTAINS!!
I am so tempted to climb those rocks above me!! Typical Climbers Illness..
Even Mr Puah is indulging in the MEI REN GU natural beauty:)
A day of rest and we move on to hiking the next day after breakfast. Our task is to complete our accent to a mountain of about 800. The air of such heights is the best: so fresh and smell so nice. There were also thick mist so the photos we took might not look so good. It's the experience that matters:) The feeling to be at the peak is awesome! PHOTOS PHOTOS!!
My first accent starts here not counting Mount Faber lol:)
CLIMB CLIMB..but only with legs:) Can't wait to climb natural contour rocks..
GROUP A..still going strong aren't we???
Look at how steep the stairs are...UP UP and HIGHER...:)
The lecturers..enjoying their time here other than teaching..HIGH tea session:P
Almost at the PEAK!! I love the view though it's kinda misty..
BEAUTIFUL:)
Climbers just can't stop finding places to climb.. There are also times when climbers are afraid of heights espcially when there is not harness and ropes. The height from here is scary shit :0
CHEEZ:)
After the accent, we made our decent by bus of cos lol.. we were all so tired and we slept all the way on the bus after lunch for another 4 hours journey ride back to our hostels. This was a very meaningful trip exposing us to both the village life, and the beauty of nature. It will be an unforgetable trip for me definitely.
